Fiona McKenzie Johnston is a writer and journalist.  She is the author of Roger Fry: Bloomsbury and the Invention of Modern Art (Triglyph Books, May 2026) and a Contributing Editor to House & Garden, where she produces and writes the magazine's art pages, including the Artists in their Studios series, as well as other features.  She has also written for the Telegraph Magazine, Tatler, Slightly Foxed, Sunday Times Style, Country & Town House, Vogue India, and Vogue Russia.   

 

Fiona has an MA in Art History from the University of St. Andrew's, where she specialised in the early 20th century Russian avant-garde.  She lives in East Sussex with her husband and two children, Sholto and Esmeralda.
